Encore Brand New Single:Tit For Tat & Video

Fresh from touring with Jessie J and supporting NDubz on their sold out Arena tour, Encore are ready to make their mark on contemporary British pop music with release of the remarkable ‘Tit For Tat’. ‘Tit For Tat’ is released on July 17th 2011 and, true to Encore’s trademark blend, manages to combine a banging baseline and a gritty production with soulful vocal melodies, edgy rhymes and sweet harmonies. Encore are Pierre Joseph, Cairo Woodword and Mark Asari, initially three solo artists who were already making a mark in their own right on the urban music circuit. A preliminary collaboration session in the studio, after meeting at an open mic night in early 2009 eventually led to the creation of Encore; an urban boy band with a distinctively pop edge. Creatively the boys emerge from all walks of their deferring musical lives. Mark is a noted songwriter, Cairo a producer and Pierre a rapper. Together they create the perfect blend of smooth vocals, head bopping beats, individual lyrics and genre synthesis which has made some of the UK’s artists stand up and take notice, being the recent subjects in both Tine Tempah and Boy George’s blogs. Mark has been penning songs since the age of 16 and now at 22, he is currently working with Chipmunk and Tinie Tempah, featuring on Tinie’s platinum selling album. Pierre (23) the MC of the group honed his skills on the playground whilst going to school with the likes of Tinchy Stryder and Dizzee Rascal. Cairo (22), learning production skills at a young age from his musical father, already has fans in Vanessa from the Saturdays and Marvin from JLS. The ‘Encore blend,’ as the boys like to call it, is unique in its sound because it involves a plethora of musical styles and showcases the group’s musical diversity. Some of which include dubstep, rap, grime, drum & bass, rnb and soul. Pierre says: “Encore are three guys with individual minds, ideas and sonic influences who have come together to create a new sound that isn’t out there in the mix right now.” Need they say more.
