DJ KHALED new single “Take It To The Head” feat. Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne

This summer, hip hop's pre-eminent Renaissance man DJ Khaled unleashed “Kiss The Ring” his highly anticipated sixth studio album and second release on Cash Money Records. The Grammy Award-nominated multi-platinum producer, personality, and recording artist continues to up the ante with each record, and this latest offering is no exception. Right out of the gate, the album's lead single "Take It To The Head" featuring Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, & Lil Wayne is a powerhouse anthem. It features soulful vocals from Chris Brown, an icy, airtight flow from Rick Ross and sexy savoir faire from Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne's inimitable, impenetrable rhyming. Khaled fires off his biggest hook yet over undeniable production and locks in unison with an A-list posse surrounding him. It's shaping up to be another smash. “Kiss The Ring” comes hot on the heels of an amazing year for Khaled. In 2011, he received his first Grammy Award nomination for the hit "I'm On One" featuring Drake, Rick Ross, & Lil Wayne, which debuted on Billboard's Digital Songs chart at #5. He also released his first album for Cash Money Records “We The Best Forever”, which debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200, shifting over 53,000 copies in its first week and marking his highest chart debut to date. DJ Khaled is a staple on the Miami airwaves as a radio personality at WEDR 99.1 FM. The producer and DJ first rose to acclaim in the US as a member of Fat Joe’s Terror Squad. On his solo projects, DJ Khaled has delivered a steady stream of smash US hits, including his double-platinum smash “All I Do is Win”, the platinum hit “I’m So Hood”, and the gold-certified singles “Out Here Grindin’” and “We Takin’ Over”. In 2010, DJ Khaled had the #2 rap album in the US with the release of his album “Victory”, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Independent Chart and climbed to #14 on Billboard’s Top 200 albums Chart. DJ Khaled’s talents have been heralded by the music industry. He won the 2008 MVP of the Year Award, the 2010 DJ of the Year Award at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, and a 2008 BET Award for Best Collaboration for his remix of “I’m So Hood,” featuring Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Big Boi, Lil Wayne, Fat Joe, Birdman, and Rick Ross. Whether he is in the mixing booth, in front of the microphone, or running the game from behind the scenes, DJ Khaled has the rare ability to thrive in multiple rolls.

The video has tallied up an astonishing 281 million YouTube hits and is still averaging over a million hits a day. I Feel Better is the contrasting new single that showcases Gotye's keen genre-hopping ability and remarkable vocal range. Six years later Gotye has become a global success story. His latest album, Making Mirrors, has sold 1.6 million and gone Top 10 in 17 countries (iTunes Top 10 in 28 countries). It peaked in the UK charts at No.4 where it spent 3 months in the Top 10 and still resides in the Top 40. Gotye has made an overwhelmingly strong connection with people worldwide, not only with his unique blend of pop smarts and sonic experimentalism on record, but on the back of beautifully crafted, multifaceted live performances around the globe. They affirm him as one of the most exciting artists of this generation. "For My Sins", emotionally charged new single from Jess Mills

Jess Mills came out of the blocks with her first offering in 2011 with the Breakage produced ‘Vultures’ quickly followed by her debut single proper, ‘Live For What I’d Die For’, both of which set the stage for her career as a solo artist. Jess had previously provided guest vocals for Breakage’s own material (namely 2011’s Top 40 hit Fighting Fire), which led the two to work together in the studio on her own music. Jess also toured the world as the live vocalist for Leftfield while her path to pop stardom was being forged. 2012’s ‘Pixelated People’ went further to prove Jess’s talents as a songwriter. A talent which at every turn is underpinned by her unwavering love of dance music, a genre, both underground and mainstream, that has shaped Jess as a person and musician since as early as she can remember. ‘For My Sins’ is her new single hot from the studio where she’s been holed up writing and recording her debut album in recent months. This new offering, as well as part of the album, is the result of her work with The Flight, a production duo who have previously worked with Lana Del Rey, Bjork, The Cinematic Orchestra, Coldcut, Orbital and Elbow, amongst others. The emotionally charged song depicts the heartache felt after an unavoidable break up with a loved one and the difficulties faced getting through those hard times. All of Jess’s songs are written straight from the heart and borne from personal experience, both good and challenging, which goes a long way to suggest that her debut album is a pure labour of love. It will certainly be deserving of some serious attention come its release in early 2013. On the live front, aside from her guest vocals with Leftfield and Breakage, Jess has enjoyed touring as a solo artist since her debut single was released last year. This included support shows with the likes of Hurts and Emeli Sande plus playing alongside Katy B, Emeli and Annie Lennox at the RFH. She’s also notched up a host of festival performances and sell out headline shows to date. Live dates to support this new single will be announced shortly.

Tinchy Stryder "Help Me" Video - check it out now

Tinchy Stryder is set to release the follow up single to his chart busting ‘Bright Lights’ featuring pop starlet Pixie Lott. ‘Help Me’, due for release by 4th & Broadway/ Island Records on 1st October 2012, will be Tinchy Stryder’s 13th commercial single release to date. Produced by Art Bastian, Tinchy Stryder’s ‘Help Me’ is the latest cut to be taken from his forthcoming, fourth studio album, ‘Full Tank’ due out in 2013. Combining anthemic ‘hands in the air’ production with Tinchy’s charismatic lyrical flow and an infectious chorus, ‘Help Me’ is sure to not only become a common request on dance floors across the country, but also make an impressionable dent on the UK charts. Remixes of the single by fresh in-demand duo DEVolution (Lana Del Ray, Wretch 32, Wiley) will also be made available. The video for ‘Help Me’, directed by Dan Henshaw (Kasabian, Kano) and shot in New Orleans also acts as a perfect accompaniment with its striking montage of in tune visuals. Since the success of ‘Bright Lights’ (which debuted in the UK top 5), Britain’s hardest working MC has been busy working on his own range of headphones. The highly anticipated ‘Goji Tinchy Stryder: On Cloud 9’ headphones range launched in July this year, and are available exclusively at Currys and PC World stores nationwide, as well as online at and With both in-ear, over-ear options and travel speakers available in the soaring market of high-end headphones designed by musical idols, Tinchy’s designs have placed him on the map for musical technology design and appreciation for good quality sound. With a packed schedule of festival appearance and gigs across Europe, a new single and a fourth album in the pipeline, Tinchy Stryder shows no signs of slowing down in 2012. Since bursting on the scene in 2009 Tinchy Stryder was 2009’s biggest selling male solo artist in the UK and became the first artist ever to reach number 1 in the official national singles charts with a song title ‘Number 1’. In the past two years Tinchy has also scored two no. 1 singles and a gold certified album, embarked on three nationwide sell-out headline tours, won a number of prestigious awards (including ‘Best Song’ at the 2011 MOBO awards), opened the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury and supported both Akon and Rihanna on the UK legs of their Arena tours. Not content with his own music career alone, Tinchy has also spent his time focusing on finding new talent for ‘Takeover Roc nation’, his joint venture with Jay-Z and Roc Nation, taking his clothing line ‘Star in the Hood’ from strength to strength, and most recently following in the footsteps of the legendary Dr Dre with the launch of his own ‘Cloud 9’ headphones.

Josh Davis, aka DJ Shadow, changed the game in 1996 with the release of his universally acclaimed debut album Endtroducing... Made entirely from samples, “Endtroducing...” was like nothing that had come before. Sixteen years on and it remains as potent and revered an album as it was on release. Shadow followed up two years later by making the lion's share of the music on the 1998 U.N.K.L.E. album, Psyence Fiction, an album with James Lavelle, featuring Thom Yorke, Ian Brown and Richard Ashcroft amongst others. By the time he released The Private Press, 2002, Davis felt he had taken emotive instrumental music created entirely from samples – as far as it could go and the new record took Shadow into new territories confounding those who were waiting on Endtroducing...Part 2. The Private Press remains one of the most underrated follow-up albums. The Outsider (2006) saw DJ Shadow making a hip-hop record featuring some of leading exponents of the Bay Area’s then burgeoning Hyphy scene while last year’s The Less You Know, the Better, was, according to Stool Pigeon magazine, “a testament to his enduring sampling genius”.

"I Will Wait" for Mumford & Sons new single and second album Babel

Mumford & Sons release their new single, ‘I Will Wait’ on the 24th September 2012. It is the first single to be taken from their second album, Babel, released on the same day. The story of Mumford & Sons has been written and mapped out on the road. Since before the release of 2009’s debut album Sigh No More, the band has rarely been off tour, but the recording of Babel brought them off the road and back into the studio. Many of the songs on the new record found their dynamic through years of tested live performance. ‘Whispers In The Dark’, ‘Lover Of The Light’, ‘Below My Feet’, ‘Lovers’ Eyes’ and ‘Hopeless Wanderer’ might be familiar to fans that have seen the band perform live over the past eighteen months across the world. Babel was produced by Marcus Dravs, a man whom the band trusts to replicate and to understand the importance of live energy as much as they do. In a similar fashion to its predecessor, it is a record that marries the upbeat with the intimate, and the unrestrained with the raw. It is an album the band are justifiably proud of, and follows a series of studio sessions in Devon, Somerset, Northamptonshire, and London. First single “I Will Wait” is a jubilant introduction to the music on Babel. It is a song which has evolved alongside the band, and encapsulates the very essence of what they do so well. Following their successful Gentlemen of the Road Stopover shows earlier this Summer in the UK and Ireland, and while currently touring to sold-out crowds in the US, Mumford & Sons will continue to map their journey on the road throughout 2012 and beyond. Outstanding "Devotion" Debut Album from Jessie Ware

Jessie Ware is a proper pop star. With her soulful, melancholy vocal, effortlessly elegant songwriting skills and, of course, that striking slicked-back hair, she marks a new era for pop. Her outstanding debut album Devotion combines the ultra-modern feel of downtempo R&B and British electronic music. South London born Jessie started singing at school, inspired by the romance of her mother's Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald Sings Cole Porter tapes, appearing in musicals and picking up some classical training along the way. Jessie cut her teeth as a vocalist when she wrote the track Nervous with SBTRKT. She then hooked up with Sampha, who had also sung on Nervous, to write Valentine, one of last year's sweetest tracks, all breathy vocals and beautiful simplicity. Armed with those two songs and riding a growing wave of hype, she was snapped up by brand new label PMR. With her name on everyone's lips, the time seemed right for an album. But, despite another big guest spot on Joker's The Vision and standout vocals on a number of tracks on SBTRKT's debut album, Jessie wanted to make sure she was truly ready to go it alone, “I wanted to combine electronic with a more classic songwriting,” she explains. “I didn't want it to feel too 'of now', so that's why I went back to beats and grooves of things I loved before, like Prince and Chaka Khan and Grace Jones. I wanted to make downer R&B, and songs that are beautiful and bittersweet, like Sade. It was just about mixing it up in the right way.” Her debut album Devotion contains that effortless poise within 11 laid-back, soulful pop songs that run the spectrum of sweet and dark. “I feel like I've been allowed to push it with the melodrama,” she smiles. “Like [early single] Running was me thinking of Whitney Houston's Queen Of The Night and romantic film scenes from the 80s, where the guy sees the girl at the prom...” The title track, she says, is the first song she wrote with Dave Okumu from the Invisible, who would become a key part of the making of the album. “That's why I wanted the album to be called that, because it's where it started. That's when I felt like a singer, and could express myself in the way that I wanted, with the music I wanted.” The upbeat nu-soul swing of Sweet Talk (“one of my favourite songs”) is about someone trying to pull you in even though you're trying to stay away, sung with flirtatiousness, but also a hint of danger. Night Light may seem dark, with its remarkable and dense shimmering layers and lines about shadows and ghosts, but actually, Jessie says, “the essence of it is very sweet. It's about my boyfriend, and being scared of the dark, and him just... being there.” Devotion takes a look at other relationships, too, not just romantic ones. Next single, the tentatively desperate Wildest Moments is of particular significance to her. “It's about a tempestous relationship with my best friend. We love and hate each other. I never fight with anybody more than her, It's about those extremes of being amazing and awful together.” Taking In Water, meanwhile, all powerful choral melancholy, is a message of support for her younger brother. “I'm proud of that one because it's really emotional. My brother was going through a hard time, and I love him dearly, and we've never been very good at speaking to each other, so I put it in a song. I don't even think he's heard it!” Pulling it all together with a uniquely Jessie Ware sound were her producers Dave Okumu, Julio Bashmore and Kid Harpoon. “They've been my three people for this album. I like that they all bring something different out in me.” With one of the year's finest albums under her belt, the only way is up for Jessie Ware. “I want to be a pop star, in the classic sense, like Annie Lennox, or Sade, or Whitney,” she says. “There's something classy about them. I'm going for the big ones!”

Childish Gambino NEW SINGLE “FIREFLY”

Childish Gambino, whose two sell-out London dates earlier this year were among the rawest, most electrifying hip hop shows for many a year, has his brand new Glassnote/Island single “Firefly” released on August 6th. The single is taken from Gambino’s recently released and universally acclaimed first album proper “CAMP” which established the actor/comedian/writer as one of the most challenging, exciting and lyrically interesting talents to emerge in hip hop. “Camp” was produced by Swedish composer and long-time collaborator Ludwig Göransson, and the 13 tracks also include “Bonfire”, “Backpackers”, “L.E.S.”, and standout closer “That Power”. Born Donald Glover, Childish Gambino got his hip hop name from the Wu-tang name generator, but is best known in the US as an actor starring in the NBC hit show “Community” alongside Chevy Chase. Glover has also recently been lauded by Rolling Stone as one of America’s best young comedians and on his recent sell-out I AM DONALD TOUR played to over 10,000. Gambino/Glover divided the show in two performing one half stand-up and the second half full on hip hop show with live band. As well as the acting, the stand up, and the rapping, Glover is one of America’s top comedy writers, with Saturday Night Live’s Tina Fey giving him his big writing break when she heard him perform and hired him to write on the hit show 30 Rock. Rolling Stone recently said “Glover approaches acting stand-up and hip hop with a singular mix of sweetness and filth”. Childish Gambino has released two mixtapes, "I Am Just A Rapper" and "I Am Just A Rapper 2", and in 2010 released his first full length original material album entitled "Culdesac" to widespread critical and public acclaim. In March of this year, he released an untitled EP that featured the hit "Freaks and Geeks" and most recently, Gambino wrapped the Bonnaroo Music Festival and was listed as one of the top five acts to see by “Spin Magazine".
  • “Camp is a dazzling, arresting, witty, clever collection of mainstream, poppy hip hop packed with the biggest rap tunes since Watch The Throne.
  • The hip hop album of the year” NME
  • “Gambino’s flows are funny, furious, obnoxious, literate and pensive by turn. A riveting album about race, class, opportunity, tribalism, love, the pitfalls of fame, comedy and “seriousness”.” - The Observer CD of the week
  • “This is one of the freshest hip-hop albums to come out of the US in years. He makes every line count. Camp is a breath of fresh air...” The Times CD of the week

Get Ready for Cleo Sol's debut single "Never the Right Time"/Watch Video

The UK has never been more ready for Cleo Sol and it's certainly been a long time since we were proud to champion a real UK pop soul diva that deserved the props. Set to launch her attack on the UK airwaves, Cleo released her debut single 'Never The Right Time' on June 18th through Island Records. After years of singing for family and friends ‘Cleo Sol’ was born (the Sol paying homage to her sunny Spanish heritage) a moniker she created at aged 16. She then posted a few tracks on MySpace and was spotted by veteran underground producer Davinche (Kano’s P’s & Q’s). This relationship proved to be instrumental in putting her in the frame with some of the most impressive names on the UK Urban scene including Tinie Tempah (she featured on ‘Tears’), Wretch 32’s ‘Dancefloor’, Bashy's ‘Riding for Love’ and of course Davinche’s ‘Hero’. In 2010, Cleo also featured on ‘Give a Little Love’ with Roll Deep and Wretch 32. 'Never The Right Time' is Cleo Sol's statement of intent; reminiscent old skool 70s soul meets Crazy In Love confidence, making a first impression with more soul than than your mum's Sunday cooking. Cleo was raised in Ladbroke Grove by musical parents and has settled on a sound that reflects her unique heritage (her mother is half Serbian, half Spanish and her father is Jamaican). She's that girl from school who always dared to be different, with a retro style that says New York block party with a touch of St Martin's college reunion. “If all else fails, it’s all about the big hair and big earrings” she says. For all those girls singing their hearts out in front of the mirror, you might just have a new diva to deliver that song to.
