Mumford & Sons’ fourth album ‘Delta’ is out now + Kick-off 63 Date World Tour

Produced by Paul Epworth at The Church Studios in London, ‘Delta’ finds the band in sparkling, experimental form. Coupling their penchant for the grandiose and the intimate, the British four-piece paint their sound with a broad range of colours and textures. It’s a record that they are immensely proud of and draws on their own individual and collective experiences over the past two years since the writing and recording process for ‘Delta’ commenced.

On Thursday evening, fans connected around the world for a series of special album playback events, where ‘Delta’ was accompanied by visuals curated by, and in partnership with, National Geographic. It was an idea by the band, originally inspired by their own creation process of the album.

Mumford & Sons: "While we were recording and mixing Delta, we watched a lot of films on silent including some pretty epic wildlife films by National Geographic -- like a vision-track to our soundtrack. So, we felt it would be a nice idea to let fans experience the record in this way too”

Tonight the band kick off a huge, sixty-three date tour. The tour starts in Dublin, and stops in London at the O2 Arena on the 29th November. Support for the UK run comes from Maggie Rogers.
Mumford & Sons are Ben Lovett, Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwane, and Winston Marshall.

Easy Life premiere video for latest single, ‘Nightmares’ and continue their sold-out tour.

Easy Life have unveiled the video for latest single ‘Nightmares’, which is available now on Island Records. The idiosyncratic Leicester five-piece recently made their TV debut on ‘Later…with Jools Holland’, and continue their sold-out UK tour - featuring an intimate date at London’s Moth Club on November 21st – this week.

Directed by Greg Barth (Blink Productions), ’Nightmares’ perfectly captures the confidence, charm and charisma of Easy Life (with the track also receiving a surprise shout-out from Emma Thompson when she was made a Dame this week). Blending hip-hop swing, jazzy horns and the band’s innate ear for pop hooks, ‘Nightmares’ itself originated– says lead-singer, Murray – “with a trumpet sample that we loved from Dionne Warwick’s version of Burt Bacharach’s ‘Loneliness Remembers What Happiness Forgets’. This instantly gave us the feels, and the rest just kind of fell into place.” The result is a positive, uplifting take on a young generation – as the lyrics to ‘Nightmares’ put it – with “everybody on the late night shift / everybody on the brink of crisis.”

Few new acts announced their arrival quite like Easy Life, yet Easy Life are in many ways like few other new bands: a group of multi-instrumental, multi-tasking and multi-talented young men who appear as at home with their free-wheeling sound as they are baring their soul. With just a handful of early material – breakout single ‘Pockets’, debut mixtape ‘Creature Habits’, and the sun-kissed grooves of ‘Frank’ – here is a band whose sound seeks to join the dots between the optimistic gospel-rap of Chance The Rapper, the scattergun storytelling of Arctic Monkeys, and the velvety vibes of vintage Dilla (all through the lens of “rainy middle England”).

Beneath the musical bravado, then, things clearly haven’t come easily for Easy Life – which is precisely the point. Murray was raised and has worked all his life on the Leicesteshire farm run by his parents, selling potatoes, plucking turkeys, and learning from an early age the value of getting your hands dirty to get where you want to be. He formed the band on a whim in late 2017 with bassist, saxophonist, singer and school friend Sam, after bonding over classic hip-hop as kids in the Midlands. Also in their ranks are Afrobeat-obsessed drummer Cass, guitarist Louis and Jordan, on percussion, keys and backing vocals. What’s emerged – albeit by accident – is a manifesto to truly live by. “Easy Life is a form of escapism,” says Murray. “Living is proving to be increasingly difficult with all the pressures that modern life brings, and easy life rejects this materialistic philosophy; easy life is a hedonistic vision. When we coined the name there was a lot less thinking involved, but it feels like we have embodied the name over time rather than setting out from day one knowing exactly what it is we were looking for.”

With ‘Nightmares’, their TV debut and sold-out nationwide tour capping off a breakout year, Easy Life’s candid, occasionally-tongue-in-cheek but always-honest songwriting looks set to evolve further still in the year ahead. Thrillingly, Easy Life also appear the type of ambitious young band who will grab with both hands the surprise break they’ve grafted for.

"Stripped-down soul with heartfelt rock" - JamesDavis EP Lamplighter out now.

It’s simple. Really. JamesDavis is a band of three musician siblings who have now come together after separately deciding they needed a way to express the songs that were constantly forming in their heads. Comprised of fraternal twin sisters Jess and Rey along with their brother Auston, their music blends stripped-down soul with heartfelt rock, taking influence from music greats such as: Leon Ware, Curtis Mayfield, Tina Turner, Mary J. Blige, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, Kings of Leon & Fleetwood Mac.

What has essentially been a private project, James Davis has started performing live with a bare setup. Rey plays guitar and sings, Auston is on keyboards, and vocals & the pads, while Jess offers her voice. Until now JamesDavis has been very much under the radar, an anomaly in today’s musical landscape. They’ve held tightly to their songs, because they know they’re valuable. Now they’re ready, for you with their new EP “Lamplighter”.

Sigrid releases explosive 'Sucker Punch' video

‘Sucker Punch’ cements the Norwegian star Sigrid’s rise to pop prominence. The singer, songwriter and arranger today releases the colossal video to the single, working with acclaimed directors AB/CD/CD to create a confident, spontaneous, authentic pop-tastic visual. The 22-year-old progressive talent says: “The video is a bit mad, and that’s the whole point, as there’s a lot going on in the song. It’s filmed in London and the set design was so good, what a team. I hope people have fun watching it; and dance, sing and laugh. If you’re wondering if you can buy the Sigrid Tacos...we should make that happen!”

Sigrid was catapulted into the public consciousness last year with the zeitgeist defining Don’t Kill My Vibe; with the certified-Gold Strangers, A-List record ‘High Five’ and critically lauded RAW EP following. The pop prodigy will now play her biggest sold-out headline to date on 12 November, as she takes on O2 Brixton Academy and tours the UK, as well as being chosen to perform at the Royal Variety Show and The Jonathan Ross Show. Sigrid will also support George Ezra in March on his mammoth arena tour, and Maroon 5 in June.

In the last 18 months we’ve all recognised a stunning new talent: Sigrid has won BBC Sound of 2018, debuted at Glastonbury, headlined Shepherd’s Bush Empire, lit up festivals across Reading, Roskilde, Coachella and Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend, sang at the Nobel Peace Prize concert, bewitched TV audiences from opening Later…with Jools Holland, The Late Late Show with James Corden and wowing Dame Helen Mirren on the Graham Norton Show. The 22-year-old Norwegian sensation has also been nominated for Best Artist at the 2018 UK Music Video Awards (alongside Bjork, Christine and the Queens and Florence + The Machine), with streaming numbers today reaching 400 million worldwide. Sigrid is undoubtedly set to continue her ascent with non-conformist and progressive attitudes to the femininity in the pop landscape with ‘Sucker Punch’.

Ray Blk Tour Support for Rudimental

Delivering the brash honesty of rap music, with her unique blend of soul and R&B spirit, Ray BLK weaves between genre boundaries borrowing the elements she requires to reach her goals. “I feel proud when my music connects with people,” says the 23-year-old, real name Rita Ekwere, who was born in Nigeria and raised in Catford, South London.

Ray’s first experiences of music came at a very early age, when she recalls dancing to Missy Elliott and Timbaland on MTV Bass at the age of seven “From that age I thought, this is what I want to do,” she recalls. “I remember singing and dancing along to all of it and thinking ‘Oh my god, I'd love to be doing this.’”

From the age of ten, Ray was already setting her dream in motion, filling her school notebooks with original song lyrics, prompting teachers to put her on a gifted and talented music programme. Despite her early experiments with music, it wasn’t until her final year of studying English Literature at university that she decided she wanted to share her music with the world. Delving into a catalogue of rough recordings she’d been making since the age of sixteen, she picked out her strongest songs and began scouring YouTube for instrumentals. The songs told the tale of a broken hearted girl who grew to hate men, and reminded her of a character from her studies, hence she titled it Havisham, based on the Dickensian spinster from Great Expectations.

Lyrically, Ray’s music is very candid; she isn’t trying to gloss over situations and paint her life as a fairytale. “I say it how it is,” Ray admits. “The music that I love is the stuff that gives it to you raw. Then you can really connect with it. I listen predominantly to rap music, which is like that all the time, so I think the influences come from there. It’s important to stand for something, to have my music stand for something,” says Ray. “So these are things that are really important to me.” The surname BLK that she’s adopted, is a constant reminder of her values: Building Living Knowing.

At the end of 2015 Ray released ‘50/50’ a track that would open up a new chapter in her career. Premiering on I-D Magazine with a visual depicting BLK and her all-girl mob hanging out in her native Catford, from the streets to the salon, as she tells the tale of a rocky relationship with a drug dealer with commitment issues. The Aston Rudi-produced track would snowball in popularity, securing A-List spots with 1Xtra and Rinse FM, record of the week from Huw Stephens, spins from Annie Mac, Julie Adenuga and Toddla T as well as the support of media platforms such as Complex, Noisey, HypeTrak and MTV. The attention came as a surprise: “I’m really happy with how well the track has been received. I definitely didn’t expect it to be noticed as much as it has been, particularly since I put it out on my own channel.”

She’d follow up with ‘My Hood’, a proud tribute to South London featuring Stormzy which she’d deliver an epic performance of on BBC 2’s ‘Later… with Jools Holland’, and again with the SG Lewis-assisted ‘Chill Out’. Both tracks would land on ‘Durt’, a diverse seven track mini-album - also featuring Wretch 32 - that demonstrates the scope of her capabilities. “This new body of work feels so different,” says Ray. She’s discovered a groove that lies between London’s forward-thinking electronic production and the Bad Boy Records remixes that she grew up on. “Beforehand I was using found instrumentals, so none of them were tailored to me,” she explains. “Now I’m blessed to be working with people to actually create something that feels like me.”

The project saw her continue to snowball, selling out a trio of headline shows in the capital and refining her spellbinding live shows. “The goal is to make people feel something,” she explains. “I love doing shows. I’m so scared before every single one, but I love every single one. I want to do more shows in front of bigger audiences and connect with more people.” It’s something that she will get a taste of when she joins Emeli SandΓ© on her Long Live the Angels later this month.

In January voters named her the winner of the BBC Sound of 2017 poll against some heavy competition. “Winning the BBC Sound of 2017 has to be the most surprising thing that’s happened to me thus far,” she reflects. “I’m particularly proud to be a part of this year’s list as it’s full of so much talent, some of whom are independent artists like myself. I really hope that inspires the next generation of artists.” BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens was also delighted by the result, admitting: “Some artists have that magic about them. I’ve played everything I’ve heard from Ray BLK on my BBC Radio 1 show. She has a real, raw talent that cuts through so strongly. She is the real deal.”

Ray celebrated the win with the release of a new single ‘Patience (Freestyle)’ which exhibits the realness that she’s been celebrated for. Recorded in Los Angeles, the conversational song sees her switching between singing and rapping as she examines a generation desperate to give up anything in exchange for fame and fortune. “Slow and steady wins the race,” she sings on the chorus, opting to focus on her own lane. ‘Patience (Freestyle)’ sums her approach up perfectly. Authentic, relatable and always honest; Ray BLK in here for the long run.

Sigrid drops new single 'Sucker Punch' plus live dates November 2018 and beyond

Today, groundbreaking Norwegian pop star Sigrid releases the highly-anticipated new single Sucker Punch, following her critically acclaimed RAW EP and incredible festival performances at Reading & Leeds and Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend. Highlighting the breadth of Sigrid’s maturing talent and aptitude for song writing, Sucker Punch cements the 22-year-old’s rise to pop prominence. Sigrid also drops an augmented reality lyric video using new technology, which has a ‘smartphone’ aesthetic mirroring the masses of social content that populates our life every day, with the augmented reality twist.

“Sucker Punch is one of my favourite songs so far and I’ve been so excited for release day! Emily Warren, Martin SjΓΈlie and I made it when we were in Ocean Sound Recordings in my hometown a while ago. The song is just a result of our usual way of working: talking, cooking, strolling, singing, dancing, experimenting...! Ugh it was so fun - just like the track itself.” Says Sigrid

With the colossal A-List record ‘High Five’, the certified-Gold Strangers, and zeitgeist defining Don’t Kill My Vibe – which catapulted Sigrid into the public consciousness last year – the pop star will play her biggest headline to date on 12 November, as she takes on O2 Brixton Academy. Sigrid will also support George Ezra in March on his arena tour, as well as Maroon 5 in June.

With her Spotify following tripling since the start of the year, and streaming numbers reaching almost 400M globally, Sigrid is undoubtedly set to continue her ascent with non-conformist and progressive attitudes to femininity with ‘Sucker Punch’.

KAILEE MORGUE REVEALS THE VIDEO FOR HER LATEST SINGLE "SIREN"

A few weeks ago, Kailee Morgue headed up NYLON's Soundcheck. Now, she's premiering the video to her track "Siren" exclusively with NYLON.

Morgue is a relative newcomer, first popping on our radars when she created a video for her song "Medusa" in her own bedroom, garnering 100,000 likes in a single night. "Siren" is the follow-up in which Morgue gets to play the villain. "The Greek mythology references picks up where my first single 'Medusa' left off," she explains. "But this one has a much more sinister tone. The balance between lofty vocal and the sexy, unsettling instrumental mirrors the temptation to do something forbidden or ill-advised."

"Siren," which premiered on BBC Radio 1's Best New Pop, arrives hot on the heels of Morgue's viral hits, "Do You Feel This Way" (feat. Whethan), "F**k U" and last year's breakout track, "Medusa," which catapulted her into an overnight success after she posted a live performance of the song on Twitter. "Medusa" became the title track from her debut EP, which was released last autumn.

The visuals, from start to finish, were all Morgue's vision. "This is the first music video that I completely thought up the concept for and directed myself", she says. "I modernized the story of the siren, but still wanted to keep the underwater feel." The girl knows exactly what she wants, and made sure she got it (and the results are incredible). "While the video as a whole is dark and sexy," Morgue adds, "I also wanted to include scenes where the colors are lighter to give you a sense of innocence and sympathy for this siren." Morgue also came up with the set design, sourced the wardrobes and props, and found and hired a local video team in her hometown of Phoenix, AZ.

With ever-changing hair colour and DIY tattoos, the anime-obsessed 20-year-old Phoenix-based gothic pop siren, Kailee Morgue, casts a sonic spell with her music. A self-described "introvert" and the second oldest of six kids, she found solace in the sounds of fellow sonic sorceresses, such as Stevie Nicks and Gwen Stefani, as well as bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and more. By the age of ten, she picked up her first guitar, began quietly writing songs before eventually posting tracks on Soundcloud.

Summer Sounds from Spring King as the band release second track 'I Hum' from forthcoming sophomore album 'A Better Life' + Annie Mac 'Hottest Record' - OUT NOW

Today Spring King share ‘The Hum’, the massive new single from their forthcoming album A Better Life. Taking the bands trademark choruses to the next level, ‘The Hum’ is a raucous chant-along roar of fight-for-your life invincibility. The track was premiered last night by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 and can be streamed/purchased now.

Of the track, Spring King’s James Green says: “"The Hum’ is a song about returning to old haunts and old memories, and attempting to relive those visceral experiences and emotions, whilst realising that you've allowed yourself to slip into a life that wasn't necessarily what you'd planned. It also came to encompass all the broader themes that the album touches on - self-reflection, overcoming adversity and negativity, and a constant striving for something better.”

A Better Life is released August 31 via Island Records. A stunning evolution from their 2016 debut, Tell Me If You Like To, the new album is a primal, joyous demand for no less than a better world. A Better Life finds the Manchester four-piece fully collaborating; the result is an astounding volcanic flare of musical energy, born of an equally collective confidence from Tarek and his bandmates Pete Darlington (guitar), Andy Morton (guitar) and James Green (bass).

A Better Life is produced once again by Tarek, who won the Self-Producing Artist of the Year at the Music Producer’s Guild Awards 2017 for his work on Spring King’s debut Tell Me If You Like To. Musically, however, A Better Life is a triumphant advancement of their previous material and the sound of the band truly understanding their own power.

Spring King recently announced their biggest ever UK tour for this September - culminating in shows at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town and Manchester’s O2 Ritz. This weekend they play Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival and will also make appearances at RiZe and Reading and Leeds Festivals. Tickets for all dates are available now.

Kai Jack gives New Bohemians & Edie Brickell’s classic ‘What I Am’ nostalgia-inducing remix treatment

Set to soundtrack the summer across the UK and beyond, London's Kai Jack gives Edie Brickell and the New Bohemian's nostalgia-inducing classic 'What I Am' a fresh spin for 2018.

When Kai Jack plays, everyone is welcome to the party. Kai Jack captures the essence of the dance scene at its inception to create fun, accessible rhythmic music that works as well in your car as it does on the dance-floor. What I Am marks the beginning of a fun and friendly project, a push back at dance music that takes itself too seriously.

Kai Jack says "having been obsessed with MTV while at school, the original "What I Am" was a track that got played stacks. It was even featured in an episode of Beavis and Butthead which must have been on about 1000 times! The original has such an amazing groove to it, and Kai Jack is all about capturing the essence of quality music and delivering it to today's dance music loving audience."

Sean Paul releases the Major Lazer produced "Tip Pon It" Video

Dancehall legend, Grammy Award winner, and maker of some of the most memorable videos in pop, Sean Paul, unleashes the video for his brand new Major Lazer produced Island single “Tip Pon It”.  The video, shot on location in Paris, was directed by legendary French artist and director Alex Courtes, who also appears in the video, and who has worked with the likes of Daft Punk, Kylie Minogue and The White Stripes.
Tip Pon It comes hot in the heels of Sean’s latest single the David Guetta produced Mad Love which features rising Mexican / American star Becky G who has been enjoying massive success in the US with her huge hit single “Mayores”.

Sean Paul, who was recently presented with a plaque from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling a staggering 26 million records, has been enjoying an unbroken string of massive hit singles in the 2 years, most recently with the single Body featuring Atlanta superstars Migos which was the follow up to the worldwide hit No Lie featuring Dua Lipa. Add Tek Weh Yuh Heart with Tory Lanez, and the Clean Bandit collaboration Rockabye, which spent nine weeks at number one in the UK charts and, of course, his Grammy nominated Number 1 Billboard, global smash with Sia on Cheap Thrills, and it is fair to say that the reggae superstar has rarely been away from the higher reaches of the charts.

Sean Paul is without doubt one of the most instantly recognisable voices in music and he has continued his remarkable strike rate over the last year with a string of hits. In 2002 “Dutty Rock” (fuelled by the massive hit singles “Gimme The Light “ and “Get Busy”) went double Platinum in US & UK  while 2006’s “Temperature” reached x4 Platinum in US with sales of over 4m. Over the span of his career, Sean Paul has worked with some of the world’s biggest artists including Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Busta Rhymes, Sia, Kelly Rowland, Enrique Iglesias and 2Chainz, and has also partnered with reggae and dancehall acts such as Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley, Chi Chi Ching, Mr. Vegas, Beenie Man, Ding Dong, Future Fambo, and Tami Chynn. Aside from being a top-notch performer, Sean Paul is a much sought after music producer and has created music with a number of top Jamaican artistes.

Sean Paul will be taking his wildly acclaimed live show on tour in Europe this summer, stay tuned for
tour dates.

ARIANA GRANDE RELEASES “NO TEARS LEFT TO CRY”

Grammy Award®-nominated, multiplatinum, record-breaking superstar ARIANA GRANDE returns with her brand new single “No Tears Left To Cry” via Republic Records & Island Records. Get it HERE.

Produced by Max Martin and ILYA, written by Ariana, Max Martin, ILYA, and Savan Kotecha, “No Tears Left To Cry” is the first single from her upcoming highly anticipated full-length album.

In addition, she simultaneously unveiled the song’s music video, directed by Grammy Award®-winning director Dave Meyers, on VEVO this morning. Watch it HERE

With her powerful vocals and astonishing range, Ariana Grande has emerged as one of the most magnetic and massively successful performers in pop music today. At age 24 she’s delivered three platinum-selling albums and surpassed 18 billion streams, in addition to nabbing four Grammy Award nominations and landing eight hits in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. With her most recent album — 2016’s critically acclaimed Dangerous Woman — Grande both boldly defies expectation and reveals the full force of her voice (recently hailed as an “extraordinary, versatile, limitless instrument” upon Grande’s appearance on Time’s “100 Most Influential People” list).

Since making her full-length debut with 2013’s Yours Truly (featuring the game-changing, triple-platinum smash “The Way”), Grande has brought her striking vocal presence to a genre-blurring breed of pop, taking on R&B, soul, and electronic music with equal nuance and assurance. Arriving in 2014, her sophomore effort, My Everything, garnered a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album and spawned the 6x-platinum hits “Problem” and “Bang Bang” (a Grammy nominee for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance). Through the years, the longtime actress and former Broadway star has proven the scope of her talent by appearing on Scream Queens and Hairspray Live! and showcased her comedic chops by hosting Saturday Night Live. With her social media following now surging past 200 million, Grande has also earned numerous accolades from the MTV Video Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, and American Music Awards (including the highly coveted Artist of the Year prize).

The first artist in music history to see the lead single from her first three albums debut on the Billboard Hot 100, Grande embraced a more uncompromising vision than ever before in the making of Dangerous Woman. With People noting that the album “celebrates feminine might,” Entertainment Weekly praised Grande for “having something meaningful to say with that jaw-dropping voice — one of the most exquisite in pop today.” Grande wrapped up her widely lauded Dangerous Woman Tour in support of the album, performing 85 arena shows worldwide.
