He then played  headlined the Sunday night at Latitude. his only UK festival this year, TRACKLISTING : Attic The Piper Sleep Of The Serene (Full Length Version) Just some of th

Fresh from playing a sold out 5 night run at the Roundhouse and still batting off high praise for number 1 album Sonik Kicks, Paul Weller releases When Your Garden’s Overgrown, the second single from his outstanding new album. The follow-up to That Dangerous Age, When Your Garden’s Overgrown features Noel Gallgher on bass guitar and tips it hat to a certain Syd Barrett: “I think this song’s about Syd Barrett” says Paul. “It’s like, what would it have been like if he hadn’t got into music? If he’d gone off to the continent and just been an artist on the side-street in France. He probably would’ve been happier. There’s some lines in there about the brush strokes of fame and I’m thinking of Syd at the time. He was an artist at heart, not a rock star.” When Your Garden’s Overgrown will be released as a Digital EP and will be backed by new tracks We Got A Lot & Lay Down Your Weary Burden. Paul Weller heads off to play a few live dates in New York and Toronto in May. He fits in a sma

Paul Weller's new solo album "Wake up the Nation" Out Now

Paul Weller releases his tenth studio solo album “ Wake Up The Nation ” on April 12th on Island Records. After an unparalleled career, characterised by constant musical experimentation, we should be used to Paul Weller’s relentless desire to chop and change his musical pack. But after the triumphant, Brit-bagging success of 22 Dreams (his third solo number one) Wake Up The Nation album sees rock’s most iconic songwriter come up trumps once more. Lean, mean and as uncompromisingly focused as it’s maker, Wake Up The Nation also brings Paul Weller full circle: twenty-eight years on from The Jam’s split, two tracks feature the former bassist Bruce Foxton . The album also sees contributions from My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields , The Move’s Bev Bevan and legendary session drummer Clem Cattini. Passion, progression, and, as ever, spine-tingling rock’n’roll –Paul Weller has, yet again delivered the perfect soundtrack as we embark on a new decade. Buy Wake up the Nation from Paul Well
