Annie Mac Presents 2012 Compilation & UK All the Way Tour

Annie Mac IS dance music’s first lady. She is one of Radio 1’s flagship DJs, a frequent headliner at stadiums, parties, clubs and festivals around the world, (from Ibiza and Miami to the mountain ranges of Japan) and the founder of the Annie Mac Presents brand. She is also known for spotting the stars of tomorrow today, with everyone from Katy B, Justice and DJ Fresh through to Azealia Banks, Frank Ocean and Plan B all getting high praise early on via Miss Mac and her Friday night show. This autumn will see Annie Mac and her Annie Mac Presents brand upping its game further. The AMP tour is getting bigger (with more dates in larger venues) and the forthcoming AMP 2012 compilation will feature exclusive material for the first time. Annie Mac Presents Superstar DJs will be broadcast in October on Channel 4 and sees Annie interviewing and exploring the lives and lifestyles of some of the biggest and most credible names in dance music and clubbing culture. The AMP 2012 compilation, released 8th October by Island records, is split across 2 discs full of Annie’s favourite tracks of the year. CD1 represents all of the tunes Annie has been playing out at clubs, parties and festivals over the year including massive hits such as ‘212’ from Azealia Banks and Rudimental’s number one smash ‘Feel The Love’. There are also nods to moombahton and trap, drum and bass and some big house music anthems from the likes of Madeon and Porter Robinson. CD2 is more deep, reflecting Annie’s never ending obsession with house and garage music, as well as featuring some soul and hip hop from three of her favourite artists of the year Drake, Frank Ocean and A$AP Rocky. The album also features, for the first time, some specially commissioned exclusive tracks by three of the UK and Ireland’s hottest up and coming artists - young Irish producer MMOTHS, super-talented Liverpool producer and DJ, Mele, and girl-boy R&B loving duo AlunaGeorge. Last year’s instalment of Annie Mac Presents reached the top of the iTunes album chart, 2012’s selection is just as sharp, representing Annie’s most loved tracks and the continuing exuberance of UK clubbing. The AMP ‘UK All The Way Tour’, which kicks off on 7th November in London and finishes on 1st December at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth, will boast live performances from the UKs finest, Magnetic Man, Redlight, Rudimental and Disclosure as well as Annie herself. Annie’s Superstar DJs TV show will launch on Channel 4 in October with a series of one off shows, focusing on a different DJ in each episode, she will interview and explore the lives and lifestyles of some of the biggest and most credible names in dance music and clubbing culture.Universally renowned as a broadcaster, businesswomen, tastemaker, impresario, media personality and a superstar DJ in her own right Annie Mac is fast becoming one of the most important figureheads in the UK music scene. Meanwhile her expanding AMP empire is establishing itself as the newest cornerstone in a long line of dance bastions such as Ministry Of Sound and Pacha.
